Mountain Biking Trip (North)

Deals.mu has come up with a special 20 km biking trail exclusively for you in the north of the island. Starting at the charming coastal village of Calodyne, this trail is a great work-out with some climbing along cane fields. There are numerous biking trails across the island - set off with your VTT (Vélo Tout Terrain) and all you need to do is follow the professional guide and explore the countryside and take in the pretty sights. As you continue the trail, you will be able to admire the rural scenery and the very typical Mauritian green sugar-cane fields. You will then go through the remarkable Dharuty Forest (near The Vale) where you will see the impressive Tecoma and Araucaria trees and breathe in the fresh air.
On the returning journey, you will get awesome views of the northern islets of Gunner's Coin (Coin de Mire), Flat and Round island. The silhouettes of these islands against the backdrop of the blue sky are such feasts for the eyes that you would not want to miss!

The Mountain Bike rides will be under the professional guidance of one of the top guides of our island. Each trip is carried out with a total respect towards nature and while making it a top priority to stress the importance of its preservation.
The Mountain Biking at Calodyne will take you around some of the most beautiful places in Calodyne and Vale and you will get to learn more about the fauna and flora; making this a unique mountain biking experience.

What to bring & wear: Sports shoes or mountain-bike shoes with your clip pedals and socks are highly recommended, camera, towel, spare clothes, sun block cream in case it is too sunny, mosquito repellent and rain jacket
- Not recommended for pregnant women and persons with disabilities
- You MUST make a reservation at least 3 days prior to your activity time
- This is a hilly trail. Participants should make sure that they can undertake this course.
- Depending on the weather conditions and the fitness of the participant, the course can at times exceed the usual 2 hours.
